👴Sayeesham👵 - A visit to old age home🏡

It was the first time I am visiting an old age home with my friends as part of our association programme. We went to an old age home named as 'Sayeesham', which had twenty five elderly residents. They all  share many common and unique physiological and psychological factors. Initially we thought that the people over there would be experiencing a hard life. But the environment was a bit different than we expected. When we reached there, they were overwhelmed and I could see the happiness in their eyes. They looked happy, but still we can feel their pain of not being able to live with their dear ones. But still, it looked like a big joint family. They live loving each other there to convert their silence to sound, to give meaning to moments.

Some talked while some smiled gently. Few become emotional. We shared our talks, few gifts and time with them. The most painful moment that we spotted out there was one among the residents do preparing to go home without realising that no one will come for her. We can't forget that delighted face. The day made us think about their situation and position. It made us think not to be further cause for the rapid increase of these types of institution.
