A field trip to krishnapuram Palace

     On January 18, we made our second field trip to Krishnapuram Palace, Kayamkulam. Nisha miss, Chithra miss and Divya miss were guiding us. We reached the palace at 10 o'clock. Even though the palace is located near the highway, it keeps a calm atmosphere. It is a place to experience both the palace and heritage museum. When we entered the premises, the palace was encircled by a terraced garden with a Budha Mandapam, fountains, ponds and lawns. Palace is built in the typical Kerala constructed architectural model - in "Pathinarukettu", which includes four "Nalukettu". Due COVID-19 pandemic situation, we had to complete our visit in a limited time. There are many staff guides for conveying details and information about each part of the palace to us. School Induction Programme

As a part of our school induction programme, we visited KIT English Medium High School, Kayamkulam for five days. We were a group of six members from English and Maths Option. It was conducted from 11th January to 15 th January 2022. We got a golden chance to understand teaching aspects in a broader sense.  We reported to the school at 8.45 AM and met the principal and vice principal. They allotted us to the school. We had our senior teaching trainees there to clear the doubts and to support us for completing the induction programme successfully. Also they allowed us to observe their classes and to attend the conscientization class given for class fifth students. Through their classes, we became more familiar with teaching aids.We also got a chance to attend a senior Malayalam teacher's class. A Visit To Shankar Memorial National Cartoon Museum And Art Gallery

January 10 became a unique day as we visited Shankar Memorial National Cartoon Museum And Art Gallery , Kayamkulam. As usual we reached college at 8:30 AM. Nisha miss gave us an idea about Cartoonist Shankar Sir and the museum. Later, we reached the museum at 11'oclock. The premises of the museum is well maintained with a nice garden and many sculptures.The building is constructed in the model of "Nalukettu" and a double storeyed one. The first floor consists of three rooms. Two rooms are preserved for different types of paintings from diverse traditions and cultures. The other one is reserved for Shankar Sir's Cartoons. The corridor is also utilised in a good manner to display wooden and rock sculptures. The upper floor is well maintained with photographs of Shankar Sir.   New year celebration programmes was conducted by our college JBMCTE Kayamkulam on 3rd January 2022 at the college auditorium. The programmes started at 12pm and continues to 1:30pm. We exchange gifts 🎁 with our new year friend who were selected before the Christmas vacation . The gifts were exchanged with the background of music which enhanced the Christmas vibe.
